Shanelle Peoples-Lambert, LPC-S, NCC, MAC, CST-Candidate
“Meaningful Progress” and “Progress is not Perfection” are the themes I injects into each session, as well as on my personal path. I understand life brings many uncertainties and challenges, therefore providing focused and customizable treatment to people from all walks of life will lead to meaningful progress. It’s not perfect, but purposeful. I have 18 years of experience in the helping profession. I believe access to health and helping services should be available to everyone. My passions are helping individuals and I look forward to working with you.
I was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. From an early age, I knew I wanted to help people and was “extra curious.’ I attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2004). In 2007 I earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, I’m a proud Gorlok!
I started in the Behavioral Health field as a psychiatric tech at St. Louis Forensic State Facility. Then transition to the field of Case Management. As a Case manager, I worked as a contact interventionalist for Children’s services and a local non-profit mental health clinic before moving to Texas.
In Texas, I discovered my love for working with individuals who struggle with substance use. I completed LPC licensure, earned a Master Addiction Counselor certification, became a National Board Certified Counselor, Became an LPC clinical supervisor, and later a Substance Abuse Professional for the Texas Department of Transportation. I have been practicing therapy since 2013, and I have loved helping others every step of the way.
In October of 2021, Guided Purpose Counseling was formed, fulfilling a career-long dream!
Alvin John Bautista, Administrative Assistant
For over six years, I've been dedicated to a mental health practice, finding profound purpose in supporting others on their journeys toward well-being. This work is a core part of who I am, and I believe strongly in the power of sustained, empathetic care.
Outside of the practice, I seek balance through creative expression. I am a musician in a band, primarily playing the guitar and the drums. Music is my vital outlet, providing the rhythm and energy that complements my professional life.
